FAQs on MetDiet
- 1. What are the ‘Features and Benefits’ of MetDiet™?
| Features | Benefits |
| Pyruvate | Weight management and metabolic support(1) |
| Alanine | Assists general muscle metabolism(2) |
| Leucine | May assist in decreainge diet-induced obesity, hyperglycemia, and hypercholesterolemia(3); a key amino acid needed for protein synthesis |
| Chromium piolinate | May help with glucose metabolism(4) |
| Glucomannan | May assist with weight management and metabolism (lipid and glucose)(5) |
- 2. What is MetDiet™?
MetDiet™ has been designed to promote the natural energy pathways within the body that are suppressed when a person changes their diet or is ingesting fewer calories than normal. Enhancing the activity of Acetyl-CoA while supporting L-carnitine transport and supplying gluconeogenic amino acids is our key in developing the first and only true ‘metabolic support’ product.
- 3. What does it do?
MetDiet™ contains key amino acids that are involved in numerous metabolic pathways. Also, it contains the heart-healthy sugar known as ribose. Furthermore, MetDiet™ contains chromium, an essential trace element involved in insulin function. Cr deficiencies result in decreased insulin sensitivity, glucose intolerance and an increased risk of diabetes.(6) And to top it off, glucomannan is an essential component of MetDiet™. At doses of 2-4 g per day, glucomannan was well-tolerated and resulted in significant weight loss in overweight and obese individuals. Also, there is some evidence that glucomannan may improve lipid and lipoprotein parameters and glycemic status.(5)
- 4. What are the key active ingredients in MetDiet™?
Glucomannan, Chromium, Ribose, Amino Acids (Leucine, Alanine), Pyruvate.
- 5. What’s the best way to use MetDiet™?
You should consume 1 serving prior to each meal, up to three times per day
- 6. Chromium is one of the most commonly studied minerals. What are some of its health benefits?
Chromium Picolinate (CP) helps control blood sugar in diabetes and may reduce cholesterol and blood pressure levels; furthermore, supplemental CP was shown to improve fasting glucose, postprandial glucose, insulin, hemoglobin A1c, and cholesterol in subjects with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. CP is also efficacious in lowering blood lipids in humans and appears to act as an effective anabolic agent, facilitating uptake of amino acids by skeletal muscle
- 7. I’ve heard that Glucomannan (GM) has a myriad of health benefits. What are they?
According to research, GM may provide the following benefits.
• Glucomannan (GM) substantially improves plasma LDL cholesterol
concentrations
• GM has been shown to enhance satiety as well as decrease excess
bodyweight and triglyceride and cholesterol levels in obese and overweight
patients
• GM is an effective cholesterol-lowering dietary adjunct
• A low-calorie diet plus GM is more effective for treating weight
loss in overweight patients than a low-calorie diet alone
• Long-term ingestion of GM has beneficial effects on glucose
homeostasis in normal baboons (animal studies)
• GM has been shown to be a remedy for constipation
• A diet rich in GM improves glycemic control and lipid profile,
suggesting a therapeutic potential in the treatment of the insulin resistance
syndrome
- 8. Are there any pre existing health issues that would be a problem if someone took MetDiet™?
For individuals who are participating in caloric restriction, please confer with your primary care physician to make sure your health is taken care of.
- 9. Who can benefit from taking MetDiet™?
This product is especially good for those partaking in a low-carb and/or low-calorie diet.
- 10. In summary, what are the benefits of MetDiet™?
MetDiet can help promote the following!
• May help to maintain normal blood pressure
• Supports healthy cholesterol levels
• Designed to support energy levels while dieting
• May help with weight and additional fat loss
• Created to enhance fat metabolism
• Contains ingredients that support muscle protein synthesis (creation
of new muscle)
• Supports enhanced cellular energy levels
• Aids in satiety
• Great for weight loss support
• Can help to maintain normal blood sugar levels
• Supports carbohydrate metabolism
